How it plays
Easy to pick up
Three pieces wait in the tray. Drag one onto the board. When a row or a column fills, it clears. That is the whole game, and you can play it for two minutes or for an hour.
Nova Cores and the Supernova
Some pieces carry a Nova Core. Clear the line it sits in and it blows out the blocks around it, and if that reaches another core, that one goes off too. Clearing lines also fills a meter, and when it is full you have a Supernova. You pick a spot, and the whole row and column through it are gone.
The Daily Challenge and Bird of the Day
One new board a day, the same for everyone who plays. Three daily goals come with a bird of the day. Finish all three and its page in the Birdbook gets a stamp.
Stop whenever you like
There are no lives to run out and no move limit. Your game waits where you left it, and your streak holds.
The Migration
The 999 puzzles are laid out as a journey east from home and back again, in ten legs with five stops on each and twenty puzzles at every stop. Each puzzle is built backwards from a finished board, so there is always a way through, and the long ones hand you an Ultra Nova every thirty pieces, which clears the board in one tap.

A Birdbook of 200 birds
Every bird you meet gets a page of its own, with a painted portrait, two things worth knowing about it, where it lives and how it is doing in the wild. Flock birds arrive with their flock, Lake Ontario's are revealed one stop at a time, and the rarest come out of eggs.

Score 3,000 in a game three days in a row and the egg in your nest hatches. Most of them hold coins, and some hold a bird.
108 of the 200 birds can only be found this way, from the European Robin to birds with a few hundred left in the wild. Eggs cannot be bought.

Twenty-seven habitats change the light and the weather around the board, from Midnight and Sunset to Snowfall and Firefly Marsh. Most are bought with coins, and two are earned, one for a thirty-day streak and one for finishing Lake Ontario.

Birdblocks is free and paid for by ads. The reward videos only play when you choose to watch one. Remove Ads is a single purchase that turns the interruptions off for good, and the optional videos stay. Nothing in the game needs money to finish.
